MCP Steroid Plugin - End User License Agreement (EULA) Last modified: February 6, 2026 This EULA is concluded between You and the Developer with respect to the Plugin. If You are accepting this EULA on behalf of an entity, You represent that You have authority to bind that entity, and "You" refers to that entity. This agreement governs the use of the Plugin Binaries only and does not license any Source Code. JetBrains is not a party to this agreement. BY DOWNLOADING, INSTALLING, OR USING THE PLUGIN, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS EULA. "Documentation" means the latest versions of all online technical documentation available for the Plugin at https://mcp-steroid.jonnyzzz.com and any other relevant Plugin documentation provided by the Developer. "JetBrains" means JetBrains s.r.o., which has its registered office at Na Hrebenech II 1718/8, Prague, 14000, Czech Republic, registered with the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court of Prague, Section C, file 86211, ID.Nr.: 265 02 275. "JetBrains Product" means any software program or service made available by JetBrains. "Plugin" means the MCP Steroid plugin software designed to work with JetBrains Products, distributed by the Developer under this EULA. "Plugin Binaries" means the compiled, distributable form of the Plugin, including ZIP archives and JAR files. "Plugin Build" means a specific distribution of the Plugin Binaries. "Source Code" means the human-readable source code, scripts, or build files for the Plugin. "Update Server" means the Developer's server at https://mcp-steroid.jonnyzzz.com used for version checking and update notifications. "You" means an individual or an entity concluding this EULA. 2. Grant of License 2.1. License. The Developer hereby grants You a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Plugin Binaries (not any Source Code) as long as the use is in line with the Documentation and the limits set out in this EULA. You may: - install the Plugin; - use the Plugin; and - make backup copies of the Plugin for archival purposes. All rights not expressly granted to You in this EULA are reserved by the Developer. 2.2. Restrictions. You may not: - modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Plugin in whole or in part, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law; - create any derivative works from the Plugin; - remove, obscure, or alter any copyright or proprietary notices in the Plugin Binaries; - sublicense any rights to the Plugin; - redistribute the Plugin Binaries without prior written authorization from the Developer; - attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the update check mechanism; - use the Plugin in violation of applicable laws or third-party rights; or - use the Plugin to execute code, scripts, or actions that You do not have the legal right or authorization to run. 2.3. Source Code. This EULA does not grant any rights to Source Code. If the Developer makes any Source Code available, it is licensed under a separate license, if any. 3. Update Checks and Network Communication 3.1. Automatic Update Checks. The Plugin periodically communicates with the Update Server at https://mcp-steroid.jonnyzzz.com to: - Check for available Plugin updates; - Retrieve version information; - Notify You of newer Plugin Builds; - Modify or remove certain features or functionality. 3.2. Data Transmitted. During update checks, the following information may be transmitted to the Update Server: - Current Plugin version; - JetBrains Product version and type; - Operating system information. 3.3. Consent. By installing and using the Plugin, You consent to these automatic update checks and the transmission of the information described above. The update check functionality is integral to the Plugin's operation. 3.4. Privacy. The update check mechanism is not intended to collect personal data. Standard server logs (if any) may include technical connection metadata such as IP address, timestamps, and request headers. For detailed privacy practices, see the Documentation. 3.5. Network Availability. You are responsible for your network configuration, security settings, and any data charges. If update checks cannot reach the Update Server, the Plugin may not function correctly or may stop functioning. 4. Code Execution, Data, and Security 4.1. Code Execution. The Plugin can execute code or perform actions within your JetBrains Product or environment at your direction. You are solely responsible for any code, scripts, prompts, commands, or inputs you provide and for reviewing outputs before applying them. 4.2. Data Access and Backups. The Plugin may access, modify, or transmit data in your IDE, project files, or environment as part of its operation. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups, access controls, and security measures. The Developer does not provide data recovery or incident response services. 4.3. High-Risk Activities. THE PLUGIN IS NOT DESIGNED, INTENDED, OR LICENSED FOR USE IN SAFETY-CRITICAL, MEDICAL, LIFE-SUPPORT, OR HIGH-RISK ENVIRONMENTS WHERE FAILURE COULD LEAD TO DEATH, PERSONAL INJURY, OR SEVERE PROPERTY OR ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE. 5. Intellectual Property 5.1. Ownership. The Plugin is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws and treaties. The Developer owns all title, copyright, and other intellectual property rights to the Plugin. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by the Developer. No license or right is granted to use the Developer's or JetBrains' trademarks, service marks, or logos. 5.2. Feedback. If You provide any feedback, suggestions, or comments to the Developer regarding the Plugin ("Feedback"), You hereby grant the Developer a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, fully paid, sublicensable and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, display, perform, and otherwise exploit the Feedback for any purpose, without any obligation or compensation to You. 6. Disclaimer of Warranty UNLESS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW OR AGREED TO IN WRITING, THE DEVELOPER PROVIDES THE PLUGIN ON AN "AS IS" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR DETERMINING THE APPROPRIATENESS OF USING THE PLUGIN AND ASSUME ANY RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR EXERCISE OF PERMISSIONS UNDER THIS EULA. THE DEVELOPER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT: - THE PLUGIN IS ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR CORRECT; - THE PLUGIN MEETS YOUR REQUIREMENTS; - THE PLUGIN WILL BE AVAILABLE AT ANY PARTICULAR TIME OR LOCATION, UNINTERRUPTED, OR SECURE; - ANY DEFECTS OR ERRORS WILL BE CORRECTED; - THE PLUGIN IS FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS; - THE PLUGIN WILL BE COMPATIBLE WITH ANY PARTICULAR JETBRAINS PRODUCT VERSION OR THIRD-PARTY PLUGINS; - THE PLUGIN WILL PREVENT DATA LOSS, DATA CORRUPTION, OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS; - SUPPORT SERVICES WILL BE PROVIDED. ANY UPDATES AND UPGRADES TO THE PLUGIN WILL ONLY BE PROVIDED ON AN "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, AT THE DEVELOPER'S SOLE DISCRETION. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. 7. Limitation of Liability IN NO EVENT AND UNDER NO LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER IN TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), CONTRACT, OR OTHERWISE, UNLESS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW (SUCH AS DELIBERATE AND GROSSLY NEGLIGENT ACTS) OR AGREED TO IN WRITING, SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY CHARACTER ARISING AS A RESULT OF THIS EULA OR OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLUGIN (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF GOODWILL, WORK STOPPAGE, COMPUTER FAILURE OR MALFUNCTION, OR ANY AND ALL OTHER COMMERCIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES), EVEN IF THE DEVELOPER HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, THE DEVELOPER IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM: - DATA LOSS OR CORRUPTION RESULTING FROM PLUGIN USE; - ANY ACTIONS TAKEN BY THE PLUGIN OR ANY CONSEQUENCES THEREOF; - INTERRUPTION OF BUSINESS OR LOSS OF PROFITS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THIS EULA OR THE PLUGIN SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU (IF ANY) FOR THE PLUGIN DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. IF YOU PAID NO FEES, THE DEVELOPER'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO US$5.00. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. JETBRAINS' LIABILITY IS EXCLUDED IN ITS ENTIRETY AS JETBRAINS IS NOT A PARTY TO THE CONTRACTUAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE DEVELOPER AND YOU. JETBRAINS IS AN INTENDED THIRD-PARTY BENEFICIARY OF THIS SECTION 7. 8. Indemnification YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY, DEFEND, AND HOLD HARMLESS THE DEVELOPER FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DAMAGES, LOSSES, COSTS, AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING REASONABLE ATTORNEYS' FEES) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLUGIN, YOUR VIOLATION OF THIS EULA, OR YOUR VIOLATION OF ANY RIGHTS OF ANY THIRD PARTY. AT THE DEVELOPER'S REQUEST, YOU WILL ALLOW THE DEVELOPER TO ASSUME THE EXCLUSIVE DEFENSE AND CONTROL OF ANY MATTER SUBJECT TO INDEMNIFICATION, AND YOU WILL REASONABLY COOPERATE WITH THE DEVELOPER IN DEFENDING SUCH CLAIMS. YOU WILL NOT SETTLE ANY CLAIM SUBJECT TO INDEMNIFICATION WITHOUT THE DEVELOPER'S PRIOR WRITTEN CONSENT. 9. Third-Party Components The Plugin may include or depend on third-party software components. Such components are subject to their respective licenses, and You agree to comply with those licenses. If there is a conflict between this EULA and a third-party license with respect to a component, the third-party license will control for that component. The Developer makes no warranties regarding third-party components. 9.1. Third-Party Analytics Services The Plugin and its website use third-party analytics services to improve the product and prioritize development. The analytics are minimalistic and privacy-conscious. (a) PostHog (https://posthog.com). The Plugin uses PostHog as a server-side analytics service. The Plugin may collect and send the following technical event data: - JetBrains IDE build, version, and product code; - Plugin version; - Anonymous project identifier (random UUID, not the project name); and - exec_code call events (success/error). No personally identifiable information is collected by this analytics feature. You may opt out of Plugin analytics by disabling the `mcp.steroid.analytics.enabled` registry key in the IDE. (b) Cloudflare Web Analytics (https://www.cloudflare.com/web-analytics/). The Plugin website at https://mcp-steroid.jonnyzzz.com uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for privacy-first website traffic measurement. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use client-side state (such as cookies) and does not track individuals across sites. 10. Termination 10.1. This EULA is effective until terminated. 10.2. This EULA terminates automatically when You breach any term of this EULA. 10.3. Upon termination, the license granted in Section 2 immediately ceases, and You must cease all use of the Plugin and destroy all copies in Your possession. 10.4. Survival. Sections 4 through 11 survive termination. 11. General Provisions 11.1. Entire Agreement. This EULA constitutes the entire agreement between You and the Developer regarding the Plugin and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings. 11.2. Severability. If any provision of this EULA is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. 11.3. No Waiver. The failure of the Developer to enforce any right or provision of this EULA shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. 11.4. Governing Law and Venue. This EULA is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the Developer is domiciled at the time You accept this EULA, without regard to conflict of laws principles. You and the Developer consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in that jurisdiction, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in this section limits any consumer rights that cannot be waived or limited by law. 11.5. Assignment. You may not assign or transfer this EULA or any rights under it without the Developer's prior written consent. The Developer may assign this EULA to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, or by operation of law. 11.6. Export Control. You agree to comply with all applicable export control and sanctions laws and regulations. You represent that You are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any prohibited country or on any prohibited party list. 11.7. Changes to this EULA. The Developer may modify this EULA from time to time. The updated EULA will apply to any new Plugin Build or updated Plugin that You download, install, or use after the effective date of the changes. 11.8. Contact.
